Urgency and Impact
Since initiator-requests queue has two different variations: one for spam messages and one for regular messages (depending on the campaign interval settings), it is go without saying that those cases should be approached differently.
Regular queue
Any delay in processing of the requests in the regular queue might be crucial for businesses that rely on those campaigns.
Messages in regular queue might be time-sensitive and should be processed as soon as possible, therefore, initiator-requests
queue should be taken seriously and monitored closely.
Spam queue
initiator-spam-requests queue, on the other hand, is used for messages that come with a high rate and slight short-term delay will
not have such an impact on the businesses that are using this approach for push notifications delivery. Nevertheless, queue overload
that is being observed for a long period of time (e.g. more than 1 hour) should be considered as a potential issue and should be
reported to the responsible team (if it could not be fixed scale-wise).
Alerts
Should be triggered if size of the queue higher than 10000.
